McLean says she has had to develop a tough skin after marrying at 19 and then having two children.
She divorced her first husband 11 years ago and in February 2009 married the former St Kilda Football Club president Rod Butterss, but the marriage only lasted for five months, barely enough time to unwrap the wedding presents.
The dynamic Butterss later spoke about his 10-year battle with alcohol. It certainly does take a strong woman to get through that. “We met at the wrong time,” McLean says diplomatically. “Rod’s not drinking anymore though and it has changed his life. He’s a completely different person.”

But she is not revisiting that relationship any time soon. Instead, she has entered the high-maintenance world of the RHOM where most tasks are undertaken in skyscraper heels and when dressing up their pets and putting them in a race is considered a worthwhile afternoon’s activity.
In the new season, McLean says that she and Roach hit the town looking for love.
“Sadly, both of us no longer have a clue about how to meet men,” she reveals.
Who knows, perhaps the likeable McLean may even be able to bring a little humanity to the show. Or will her true nature be submerged beneath the diva antics?
Some believe she should have sought out former cast member Andrea Moss, who was so bruised by her experience on the show that she has vowed never to do reality television again.
But no doubt everyone reacts to the pressure of being on the RHOM in their own way.

WHICH Aussie actress has replaced one former sportsman with another? At least she has a type.
WHICH PR house devoted to the finer things in life may as well have been pushing boxing gloves because the partners’ recent decision to go their separate ways has left them bruised? At least they have plenty of the right stuff to drown their sorrows.
WHICH legendary spin doctor made a big deal of paying homage to a bright young newspaper commentator at Friday night’s Andrew Olle lecture? Unfortunately the media whiz kid had
no clue who he was talking to.
WHICH influential woman was dropped from one of her favourite accounts at the behest of a Hollywood star? Was it performance related or because she tipped off the media about the star’s presence at an industry event?
WHICH reality star made no media friends with his cool attitude on Cup Day? This is very shortsighted of him, especially if he wants the press to take notice long after his five minutes of fame.

Ready Or Not, Bandage Dresses Are Back
We could put together a whole Facebook album devoted to our bad clubwear choices from years past. There was the baby-doll era of 2004. The bubble dress disaster of 2006. And, we're pretty sure we've untagged the majority of our after-hours 2008 experiences, when Herve Leger ruled the scene. While we've happily been thinking outside the woo-dress-only box and have begun exploring other shapes and separates, Preen thinks it’s time to revisit one of the most polarizing moments in going-out clothes history: the bandage dress.
You remember them as the slightly shiny, seatbelt-strap-like, no-room-for-dessert-just-another-vodka-cran-please dresses that let you shimmy in place, but not quite walk up the stairs. Worn with platform pumps and a crossbody bag, they were Kim's pre-Kanye uniform and a style in which we all dabbled. So, don’t be confused — the ones from Preen’s spring 2015 are not those.
Covered in Maasai-inspired beadwork and stripes, these bandage dresses are made for moving, as evidenced by the dance-friendly sport heels and flats that were paired with them during London Fashion Week. Still short and tight, these bandage dresses are a departure from the sack-style frocks you’re used to cozying up in this time of year, but an oversized tent doesn’t quite make dropping that Nae Nae much fun. Now, click through for a few looks that may just make you reconsider your restrictive clothes ban of 2009.
